When you obtain enough Membership Points, you can redeem rewards at Customer Service  Counter  of Hong Kong Market (except  Hong Kong Market – Shun Tin). Points will be deducted instantly upon successful redemption.

Your full name or phone number will be used as identity verification in case of change of  membership details or rewards redemption. So, Full name and phone number are required for registration.

It will be used for providing birthday offer during your birth month.

KORURU membership must be registered to a unique phone number. Multiple mobile numbers cannot be registered under a single account. An account with KORURU cannot have supplementary accounts.

Can I join KORURU if I don’t have a smart phone? Will KORURU issue a physical card?2019-07-03T02:25:22+00:00

Physical card will be issued for KORURU with designated merchant, but KORURU will not issue physical card as a stand-alone branded membership card.

Why did I not receive the SMS verification code during registration?2019-07-03T02:26:11+00:00

The SMS verification code can only be sent to a correct and valid mobile number from Hong Kong (+852) and China (+86).  You can request that the SMS verification code be re-sent. The code will be valid for one minute. If you are having trouble receiving the verification code, email to info@koruru.com.hk for further assistance.

Member can request to update the registered  personal information in person, at any Customer Service Counter of Hong Kong Market (except Hong Kong Market – Shun Tin).

Member can update the mobile number at any Customer Service Counter at  Hong Kong Market (except Hong Kong Market – Shun Tin).

You can cancel your membership anytime at our Customer Service Counter during opening hours.  Once the membership is cancelled, all remaining Membership Points in the account will be forfeited.

We highly recommend members to spend all their points before you terminate your membership.  Once the membership is cancelled, all remaining Membership Points in the account will be forfeited.

What is the relationship between KORURU membership and Hong Kong Market membership?2019-07-03T02:39:22+00:00

Hong Kong Market is the first merchant that KORURU is working with, and Hong Kong Market members are welcome to transfer their membership to KORURU and enjoy benefits as KORURU member.

Is my membership account under Hong Kong Market still valid even if I don’t migrate my account to KORURU within the designated period?2019-07-03T02:37:34+00:00

Hong Kong Market is upgrading their system and Hong Kong Market members are require to renew their membership card at designated time. If members did not renew their card nor to migrate their memberships to KORURU, their membership might be terminated at designated time, and any bonus point balance will also be forfeited accordingly (Please refer to on-site posters at customer service or contact customer service for further inquiries).

Why do I need to input my Hong Kong Market members’ information when I migrate the membership to KORURU?2019-07-03T02:40:01+00:00

As KORURU is only a service provider for upgrading Hong Kong Market membership scheme, we prioritise security and would like to ensure we have the correct member details, we will ask you to provide your personal information again and to verify your identity.  If the phone number and name you input into the KORURU membership account is different from the ones you have provided with Hong Kong Market membership, we shall treat it as a new member registration and no point balance shall be transferred.

If I have registered different Hong Kong Market with different mobile numbers, can I migrate them all to my new KORURU membership account?2019-07-03T02:41:28+00:00

No. To migrate to KORURU, the registered mobile numbers of your Hong Kong Market memberships must be the same as your registered mobile number under KORURU membership.

How do I earn Membership Points?2019-10-28T11:21:31+00:00

Members can earn 0.1 point for every HK$1 they spent at the designated merchant (some merchants might run a different point scheme, please check the merchant page for further details).  Simply show member card , and show the  QR code to the cashier for scanning when you checkout the purchase, the points you earn for that transaction will be recorded in your account as soon as the transaction is completed.

You can check your Membership Point balance at the kiosk at any entrance of Hong Kong Market.

Are there any transactions unacceptable for earning Membership Points?2020-10-16T07:19:45+00:00

Receipts from the following merchants or transactions will not be accepted for the purpose of earning Membership Points: Travel agencies and cross-border buses; property agencies; fitness and beauty centers; elderly homes; educational centre; medical and dental/clinic services; carwash, car care services or the purchase of parking cards; kiosks, exhibition venues and temporary exhibition booths / Pop Up Stores (this merchant list may change from time to time without prior notice. For details, please see the merchant page) ; tenants in office buildings; hotels; banking services; insurance premiums; money exchange shops; tuition, membership or any other monthly fees; the purchase or topping-up of an Octopus, or value-added or payment services; mail, fax, email or phone orders, or online shopping; telecommunication fees or the purchase of calling cards; the purchase of tickets, such as mall event or concert tickets; trade-in transactions or product redemptions; the purchase and use of cash coupons, gift cards, or gift certificates, membership cards, bonus point cards, discount cards or value-added cards, food coupons including, but not limited to, bakery, mooncake, rice dumpling and Chinese preserved sausage vouchers; the purchase of gold grains, bars or deposits for gold saving club, payments settled by cash; payments with a handwritten, reprinted or photocopied receipt or payment slip; cancelled or returned transactions; or other non-eligible transactions.

The Membership Points will be expired on 31 December of next year.  Members can make use of the kiosk at entrance of Hong Kong Market to check the expiry date of their Points. All the expired Points will be forfeited .

Can I get my Membership Points back if I change my mind after the rewards redemption is completed at Customer Service Counter?2019-10-28T11:14:19+00:00

The corresponding bonus points will be deducted instantly from your account. No refund nor exchange of redeemed points will be made under any circumstances.
